This blog is a way for me to let you peek into my life. I find that I keep coming back here as a new person each time giving my blog a whole new look every time I'm here. I love the chaos and the change that comes with it. Mostly I'm proud of my growth. And how lucky if I can inspire you in any way.
Kiki Çakir-Kalis
I talk fast, rarely finish a sentence, have strong opinions, and too much love to contain in one body. Based in Amsterdam I find a challenge wherever I go. From event planning for cryptocurrency meetups to one-on-one coaching for personal growth. I'm on it!
I am your super hyped +1 for whatever plans you have. Always passionate and full of ideas when you get stuck. I'm here to be your big sister, your back-up mom, and your partner in crime. So tune in to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Education
I won’t lie, it took me some effort. But at least I can say I nailed it.
I studied Nursing at the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam and earned the title BSc in Nursing. My minor was Intensive Clinical Care accompanied by an internship which was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
I wrote my thesis on HIV prevention among male sex workers as I did my final internship at the Prostitution and Health Center in Amsterdam. After graduation I continued to work at the STI and dermatology clinic before starting a coding course to pursue a career in tech after 10+ years in healthcare.
You can request my resume here in either English or Dutch!
Skills
- I finished a 30-day pushup challenge once.
- I won the ENS prize at the ETH-London Hackathon.
- Yoga. I'm not elaborating on this one.
- I'm a motivational interviewing (MI) specialist. MI is a counselling method that involves enhancing a patient's motivation to change.
- I'm very interested in photography, yet I find it's the one thing I can't stay consistent in.

Travel
Nothing better than travel to put live in perspective.
Once in a while we have to step out of our comfort zones and confront ourselves. I have found travel to be super helpful in learning more about myself and my behaviour. Every city equals a lesson learned. Now finally past Corona I'm looking forward to a lot more travel!
